WeCom— a communication platform for companies

If you have heard of Tencent’s WeChat, then you should also know about the WeCom platform.
From WeChat to Wecom

WeCom is an enterprise communication platform that includes convenient communication and office automation tools. Similar to WeChat, it offers a smooth communication experience, as well as various applications. In addition, WeCom is integrated with WeChat, providing an unmatched connection that facilitates smart management, smart ecosystem, and smart services for enterprises. During the COVID-19 outbreak, WeCom has become an important communication tool for people working remotely.

This is exactly what Charlene Li and Josh Bernoff say in chapter 12 of Groundswell: winning in a world transformed by social technologies: The bigger a company is, the more of a problem internal communication becomes. Information flows down the management ladder, but getting insights back up to management and encouraging collaboration among people throughout the enterprise is harder. But WeCom solves this problem very well.

You can use the WeCom platform to contact anyone in the company, which solves the problem of information not flowing upwards.

WeCom can also share product posts to create an internal groundswell among companies. At the same time, we can comment on posts and give our opinions.

Anyway, WeCom improves information management, feedback, and relationships between employees by providing more efficient and collaborative internal communication tools. This helps companies better manage internal information and promote employee interaction, resulting in better teamwork, business performance, and achieving the groundswell inside the company.

    Thank you for making us aware of WeCom. Sharing ideas in big companies can be hard but WeCom and similar communication platforms can be helpful for internal communication. They help to improve communication, teamwork, and business results. Other popular communication platforms for big companies are Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Slack, and Google Workspace.
